Ascott Embassy Sathorn Bangkok

Beautiful rooms. Had myself the One Bedroom Premiere. Asked for the corner room and got the best sunrise view every morning. Sound insulation was great, given there’s a construction right next door but we heard nothing over the whole stay. Pool is small but have good view. Also have steam room for free. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cookware. Staffs are friendly, except for one bellman who tried to put us up to his taxi friends, much more expensive than Grab prices. Gladly we turned him down.

Very disappointing following my last stay here. After reading all the reviews I assumed this would be a great hotel, I was indeed very mistaken. 1: Upon arrival there was a lot of heavy construction going on right next door causing noise and dust , guests should be informed of this prior to arrival so they have the option to book another hotel. 2: We were charged for our child who is 7 years old. Now according to the hotel child policy: children under 6 stay free when using existing beds, meaning any children over 6 we pay and an extra bed is supplied. We paid but we received nothing, no extra bed, no extra pillow or blanket, no extra amenities such as drinking water, towels, toothbrush etc. Our child which we paid for had to sleep on the couch using a towel as a blanket. 3: On the morning of check out I called to reception to speak with the General Manager who I was informed was off that day, I then asked to speak with the Manager on Duty and was informed there was none, however the Duty Manager would be available up on check out. When I arrived to check out the Duty Manager ( who did not seem to be aware of the hotel child policy). He said he could do nothing about it. I then asked who more senior was around that could do something, he said the Manager on Duty (same person the receptionist told me there was none only 20minutes prior). He came out from the back office and explained there is nothing he could do; after 10 minutes of going back and forth I finally said simply refund me the charge for the child as you did not supply anything. They both agreed. To this day (2 weeks later) Nothing has been refunded and the hotel has made no effort to contact me. Very poor performance and very poor actions by the management and the hotel. I do NOT recommend this hotel and I will not stay in an Ascot ever again. Big disappointment from Ascott, you totally failed to deliver.

The room is very spacious, comfortable and clean! The decoration style is fashionable and elegant, and there is a view outside the window. We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel service was very considerate. The Chinese-speaking girl at the front desk provided us with a lot of information. The swimming pool on the 9th floor is great.
